ID-Based vs. ID-Less Audiences

ID-based Audiences: Audiences that offer 1:1 targeting based on user identifiers, such as cookies, MAIDs, IFA and alt IDs (Ramp ID, UID2, etc.). Segments are mainly available for US targeting across desktop, mobile, CTV and Social campaigns. (Note: ID-based demographics are available outside the US for a handful of countries)

ID-less Predictive Audiences: Segments delivered based on privacy-friendly contextual signals without relying on user identifiers (e.g. - cookies, MAIDs, etc.) to reach a target audience. Rather than targeting users based on a user identifier, such as a mobile ID, Predictive Audiences enable advertisers to target content that is most likely to attract the target audience. Segments are available for targeting across desktop, mobile, CTV, audio podcast and YouTube campaigns.
