What is the Proximic Activation Platform?
The Proximic Activation Platform is a self-service UI that allows users to create custom segments to support targeting for desktop, mobile and CTV campaigns.
1. Create a login
Log into the Proximic Activation Platform, or click Create free account to get started.
2. Set up your platform destination
- Select “My Destinations” in the upper right corner of the UI
- Click “Add Destination”
- Select the delivery platform and whether it will be ID-Less or ID-Based
- To configure your platform, name and include relevant information for the new platform tile.
- Best practice: Name the tile something related to the Seat ID, such as the advertiser, brand, etc. This name will help you identify & select the delivery platforms when creating segments.
- Once a new platform tile is created, you can Edit/Delete the tile at any time. You will see the name you selected below the platform name on the tile and detail on the supported audience type (i.e. - ID-less, ID-based or both).
What are the use cases for this tool and how can I create custom segments?
On the Home page, click the blue "Create" button under Audience to create segments for the following use cases:
- Linear TV Ad Exposure: Create a target to extend the reach of those exposed to a linear TV campaign using your own brand or target a competitive set by grouping exposure to ads from your competitors.
- Linear TV Viewership: Create a target for those who have watched a specific TV show or live event. This can be useful if launching a new show with similar types of viewers or if you’d like to reach those who are interested in a live event such as the Super Bowl, Presidential debates, or award shows.
- Website and Search Behaviors: Create a target based on online interest behavior by targeting those visiting a website related to your campaign or a set of competitors. You can also target by search behavior, which indicates interest in a brand or topic.
On the Home page, click the blue "Create" button under Content for the below use cases:
- Keyword Targeting: Create a list of keywords related to your campaign that appear on websites and apps for contextual targeting.
Create a Segment
Depending on your targeting criteria, select Create under the Content tab or Audience tab to create your custom segment.
